2nd accused in Senzo Meyiwa murder trial denied bail

The second accused in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial has been denied bail.

Bongani Ntanzi denies he was one of the men involved in the murder of the Orlando Pirates and Bafana star.

Meyiwa was killed at the home of his girlfriend, musician Kelly Khumalo, in 2014.

Ntanzi applied for bail in October.

Judge Audrey Ledwaba said Ntanzi did not prove exceptional circumstances to secure bail.

The judge also said Ntanzi failed to prove it would be in the interest of justice to grant him bail.
