We have a new and exciting vacancy for an experienced marketing consultant/ account manager to join our client’s dynamic team. This “out of the box” organisation is a specialist internal marketing agency. The structure consists of the following areas: Creative, client service, strategy and business support.

A day in the life of a consultant:
A typical day for a consultant involves managing key projects from strategy to implementation, this means
Attending client meetings, build and maintain those relationship
Understand the marketing process – i.e. take a brief, write a brief, brief it into creative, be able to cost the job, present the solution to the client and then if the job is landed to project manage it, including project plans, status reports, invoicing, cost reconciliation and preferably the ability to cross sell and up sell as the project progresses
Preparing meeting contact report
Liaise with the operations manager and ensuring that chase list deliverables are being completed within the agreed timeline
Preparation and management of CE process, costs and budget
Collating data for cost reconciliation
Sourcing supplier quotes on minor production where necessary
Required Skills
account manager : 5 to 6 years
consultant : 4 to 5 years
Candidate Requirements
Education and skills set required:
Preferably a degree but a diploma will suffice if you have compelling experience
Minimum 5 years working experience in a communications, media or project management field, campaign manager and/or account manager preferably within the Marketing industry.
Must have own transport
Corporate experience would be preferred
Small agency experience would be a bonus
Great communicator
In a nutshell must be excellent with clients, be a team player and a problem solver of note.
High drive, ambition and work ethic. (Average working hours are 50 hours per week and include some evenings and the occasional weekend)
Computer literacy (MS Office – Word & Excel; Internet and Email)
Excellent writing skills (must be able to articulate him/herself in written English)
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Project and/or campaign management skills
Attention to detail essential almost bordering on OCD
Attitude and behaviour
Self-driven and motivated, and able to take direction and run with things
Willing and able to work independently without much supervision
Can and will work long hours and be flexible and able to adapt easily
Enjoy working with people
Resilient and able to take and give feedback
Solution oriented and the ability to get stuff done
