A detailed curriculum vitae and cover letter (please note that the first three (3) referees on your CV will be contacted with regard to reference checking);

Duties and responsibilities:
Perform general administrative duties and support the head of department and staff in the department.
Arrange the logistical aspects of organizing events such as seminars, workshops and conferences.
Manage financial and human resource administration duties of the department.
Perform academic support duties such as student enquiries and capturing of research data on RIMS.

Inherent requirements:
Grade 12 or National Vocational Certificate on NQF level 4.
One (1) to two (2) years’ relevant working experience related to the duties and responsibilities.

Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to function with ease in the University’s richly diverse working environment.
Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Building Coalitions.

Recommendations:
Experience in PeopleSoft and Campus Solutions.
Experience within the higher education environment.
Knowledge of university systems, policies, procedures.

As soon as possible.

Salary:

The salary scale is available on request.
