Mvoti search and rescue operation for mom & child underway
A search and rescue operation is underway in KwaZulu-Natal for a mother and child.
It’s believed they were swept away by the Mvoti River.
The Medi Response search and rescue unit, together with the SAPS K9 unit are currently sweeping the river.
Reports indicate the mother was crossing the river with her baby on her back.
Witnesses called for help when they saw them being swept away.
