Past Experience Controller or Estimator
Wide Exposure to Import functions
Competencies we looking for Strong background in Import Forwarding operations. If possible with broad exposure
Chasing agents / partners for rates.
Comparing rates between agents & carriers
An understanding or exposure to how mark-ups or margins can change in function of the size of a customer and/or size of shipment.
Good understanding of different types of cargo – General Cargo, Hazardous Cargo, Pharmaceuticals and Temperature Control
Good understanding of what charges are “typical” of an import forwarding shipments.
Good communication skills with customer – knows how to impress a client and build a relationship.
Good Excel Skills
