As Isibaya comes to an end, Sdumo Mtshali penned a beautiful goodbye to his character Sibusiso Ndlovu – The actor thanked the fans and the production team for letting him play such a versatile character of the last eight years – Sdumo said that playing Sibusiso has left a legacy in his career that he will treasure forever.

Isibaya is wrapping up after the announcement that the show will not be returning for a new season. Sdumo Mtshali, who plays Sibusiso Ndlovu on the telenovela said an emotional goodbye to his character on Instagram.

An executive producer of Isibaya named Desiree penned a beautiful letter to Sibusiso’s character, detailing how the fans fell in love with him. Desiree spoke about his love for Thandeka, who was played by Nomzamo Mbatha and how they followed their love until the very end.

Sdumo started off by saying thank you to Desiree and became emotional about how he came to love Sibusiso himself. “I’m so grateful for you and this production.

I’m so honoured to have been part of a show that is a true legacy in my career,” he said. Sdumo said that the character of Sibusiso will stay in his heart forever, especially because he played the role for eight years. “Thank you entrusting me with this character and this story of love, family culture and heritage,” said the actor.

Fans are saddened that one of their favourite TV shows is coming to an end, but a few of them will be comforted by the fact that some of their actors grew attached to the production as well.
