COVID-19: Mixed reaction to SA schools reopening

Fear is setting in over primary schools resuming at full capacity and with daily attendance.

Some teachers are saying schools are nowhere near ready while parents are afraid for their children’s health.

The Basic Education Department recently gazetted that from 26 July, primary school pupils must return to class every day.

The department’s decision comes at a time when the third wave has hit four provinces already.
