Afro-Soul singer Scelo Gowane’s life in danger after witnessing Thugs shoot his friend, now they are hunting him

Afro-Soul singer Scelo Gowane has been on the run since March. According to the musician, a group of thugs is hot on his heels after witnessing them shoot and injure one of his two friends.
Three tsotsis broke into his home studio in Newlands East, KZN.
The criminals robbed the singer and his late friend out of valuables including cellphones, cash, and studio equipment.
The Uma Esehamba hitmaker said there was a hit on him as “some people” were jealous of his work.
Explained Scelo: “Since the attack, my life and those of those around me have been in danger.. I’m scared and can’t communicate with my fans on social media platforms. I now use an old cellphone as its location can’t be traced.
“The thugs left me with nothing. I’ll have to start afresh and buy new studio equipment.”
He said he also lost music he was soon to release.
Asserted Scelo: “I want to ensure my friends that I’m safe and will come out at the right time.”
Asked for comment, KZN police spokesperson Colonel Thembeka Mbele confirmed: “A 33-year-old male was with his two friends at his residential premises, when they were allegedly accosted by three unknown armed males.”
“The suspects robbed them of cellphones, cash, and studio equipment. One of his friends was allegedly shot and injured. He suffered a gunshot wound to the shoulder.
