The South African Revenue Service (SARS) has recovered R2.6-billion in taxes since April last year. The revenue service says it’s serious about clamping down on illicit financial flows in certain sectors.

SARS is tackling the clothing and textile, leather, tobacco and fuel sectors. It is working closely with the National Prosecuting Authority and the Special Investigating Unit to bring criminals to book.
