One dead, another critical in Sandton crash

Gauteng: At 07H51 Friday morning Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the corners of Grayston Drive and Daisy Street in Sandown Sandton.

Reports from the scene indicate that the driver of a mini-bus taxi lost control resulting in the vehicle leaving the road the crashing head-on into a tree.

Medics found two patients, both males in a critical condition.

Advance life support was initiated however the patients’ condition deteriorated rapidly and he was sadly declared deceased on the scene.

The second adult male was stabilized on the scene before being flown by the Netcare 7 helicopter ambulance to a specialist facility.

All the necessary authorities were on the scene to investigate.
