SA COVID-19: SANDF medics deployed to Gauteng
The military is being enlisted to help Gauteng fight the third wave of COVID-19.
The province currently accounts for the majority of new cases, with over 7,500 infections in a single day.
“We have requested additional capacity to assist Gauteng in terms of military help,” acting Health Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi-Ngubane said.
She said the deployment will start from Friday.
