Sanco gives Gauteng Premier David Makhura an ultimatum

The South African National Civil Organisation (Sanco) has given Gauteng Premier David Makhura until Wednesday to release the results of probes by the Special Investigating Unit into fishy tenders.
The civic group has requested that the premier step aside in the meantime.
That’s why as Sanco in Gauteng we say let the premier bring us a report. So we don’t judge the premier on faceless facts. If he can bring all these reports then we are able to talk. But in the meantime, we’ll request the premier to step aside,” said Abraham Mashishi.
Sanco demands access to, among others, a report into an alleged dodgy R34-million IT tender. It says he will be taken to court if he doesn’t respond.
