“Please stop asking me why I don’t speak English to my daughter. She’s not English. She’ll learn it at school. At home we speak Xhosa and Zulu and she will be multilingual like her mom,” said top actress on why she don’t speak English to her daughter.

Actress Samkelo Ndlovu recently shared a wonderful video clip of herself and her daughter having a lovely mother and daughter moment.

In the clip, the Rhythm City actress is seen speaking in IsiZulu with her daughter and pointed out in the caption, explaining that she does not and will never speak English to her daughter.

A question that had been boiling in the heads of her fans, was why? As many believe when someone is successful, tend to speak in English as a sign of classy.

But, Samkelo does not think so, she is proud of her own language, and being multilingual.

The actress had previously tweeted that when she’s in a public space with her daughter people often speak to her in English instead of Isizulu.

“Please stop asking me why I don’t speak English to my daughter. She’s not English. She’ll learn it at school. At home we speak Xhosa and Zulu and she will be multilingual like her mom,” she wrote.

The first-time mom expressed that she will bring her daughter up, in such a way that will make her more informed knowledge of her true identity, thus; who she is and where she comes from.

“Oh well… mina I will raise my daughter to have a more informed knowledge of who she is and where she comes from. Even if it means I go all the way back to the stories of “The Great Bantu Migration” and “The Moors” then that’s what I’ll do,” she added.
