SAHRC asks Motshekga to reconsider schools reopening

The SA Human Rights Commission has written to Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga, recommending she reconsiders reopening schools next week. Grade 7 and 12 pupils are expected to return to school on Monday.
The commission said it has held consultations with teacher unions and school governing bodies. It said schools need clean water, sanitation, training and personal protective equipment for teachers and learners.
