Tributes pour in for the late SAFM presenter #RowenaBaird
Tributes have poured in for Rowena Baird following the news of her death on Friday. The SABC confirmed the tragic news on Twitter, saying: “SAfm former senior presenter of Morning Talk Rowena Baird has passed away this morning. Rowena Baird started her broadcasting career in the mid 1980s. May her Soul Rest in eternal peace.”
Baird began her broadcast career in the mid-90s with Radio BOP.

During her career, Baird worked for stations such as Radio 2000, Channel Africa and Metro FM where she reported on the news, presented magazine programmes and current affairs shows.
SAfm presenter, Khanyi Magubane tweeted that she was heartbroken at the news.
She also described Baird as “a consummate professional.”
