Assistant Safety and Security Manager – Cape Town CBD
A permanent position exist with our client in the hospitality industry as an Assistant Safety and Security Manager.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
To assist with managing the security and safety systems as well as operations of the hotel, in order to maximize safety of guests and employees.
Minimize loss from theft or damage to company assets and personal injury to guests and employees.
Develop and implement techniques and systems to prevent or minimize waste, theft or pilferage within the hotel.
Assist and manage investigations regarding theft or damage of property and personal injury occurring within the hotel.
Ensure compliance with policies, systems and procedures relating to security and emergency situations (bomb threats, evacuation etc.)
Ensure that all records and documents are maintained as per company policy and procedure.
Ensure that all the security operations are conducted in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Keep the management informed at all times on matters pertaining to security.
Ensure that the daily activity report reflects a true account of all security activities.
To be involved with Health & Safety. Ensuring compliance within the department and that Health & Safety directives are carried out.
Anticipate possible and probable hazards and conditions and either correct them or take action to prevent them from happening.
Ensure that all hotel employees abide by the established security rules and regulations.
Required Qualifications & Experience
3 – 4 years of relevant experience within a similar role.
Knowledge of the hospitality industry advantageous.
Exceptional communication, organisational & administrative skills.
Computer literacy (MS Word etc.).
Ability to work without supervision.
Good working knowledge of security procedures and practices as well as relevant health and safety regulations
Clear credit and criminal record – as per our client requirements
Salary – Negotiable depending on experience
