SAFA’s Lydia Monyepao appointed as CEO

SAFA COO Lydia Monyepao has been appointed to the position of CEO. This follows the resignation of Tebogo Motlanthe last week.

Motlanthe denies reports of bad blood with SAFA as a reason for his resignation. While she is up to the task, Monyepao admits to being shocked at her appointment.

The 42-year-old is a graduate of the University of the Witwatersrand with a BCom in commerce, the University of KwaZulu-Natal with a BCom in commerce with honors in accounting, and Loughborough University in England with a Masters in sport management.
