The South African Communist Party’s Solly Mapaila has challenged the ANC to put an end to ongoing power cuts.
Mapaila made this call at the party’s 111th birthday celebration in Mangaung, in the Free State.
At the same event, ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa said that ending blackouts and solving the energy crisis is one of the party’s top priorities.
Ramaphosa has also conceded that load-shedding is harming the country’s economic growth.
The country is currently on Stage 4 power cuts.
