SACCAWU confirms indefinite strike at Massmart stores

SACCAWU confirmed an indefinite strike at all Massmart stores commencing on Friday.

Workers are also pushing for a consumer boycott, with protests outside various store

Retail giant Massmart owns Makro, Game and Builders Warehouse.

The protest is over wages and changes to working conditions, among other issues.

The union says it failed to reach an agreement with the group’s management.
