SABC to beef up security measures

SABC Chairperson Bongumusa Makhathini, says the public broadcaster’s investigations are resulting in push-back from those who are implicated.

He was speaking during the Fix show about the assassination attempt on Thami Zikode on Friday night.

Makhathini promised to beef up the SABC’s security measures.

The public broadcaster said Zikode was followed home from Auckland Park last night.

The motive for the attack is not yet known.

Zikode is currently working on a forensic investigation into fraud at the cash-strapped broadcaster.
