Alex business owners plead with govt for assistance following SA unrest

Shop owners who were victims of looting in Johannesburg’s Alexandra township are pleading with the government to assist them.
Many are uninsured and cannot afford to pay what’s needed to rebuild their businesses.
Finance Minister Tito Mboweni has announced R2.3-billion has been set aside to help them.
But he didn’t say how applications would work and when this money will start trickling down.

A woman is traumatized after she was kidnapped and repeatedly raped over 19 days. The woman said her horrific ordeal started on 4 July, when she got a lift from three men she met at a filling station in Tzaneen, Limpopo.
