SA Post Office needs cash injection

The SA Post Office needs a R1.6-billion cash injection according to Communications Minister Khumbudzo Ntshavheni.
The Post Office is cash strapped and needs about R9-billion to stay afloat.

However, Ntshavheni says if the funding is approved it needs to be linked to revenue-generation interventions.

Ntshavheni said if the Post Office is to compete with the private sector, it’s entitled to commercial interest protection like other companies.
