SA is in mourning once again – President Cyril Ramaphosa

President Cyril Ramaphosa says natural disasters have left South Africa reeling. This comes after devasting flooding in parts of the country. Ramaphosa addressed a joint sitting of the National Assembly and the National Council of Provinces on Tuesday.

“Two weeks ago a great tragedy befell our nation, causing catastrophic loss of life and widespread destruction,” he said.

“The floods of KwaZulu-Natal, the Eastern Cape, and also including North West were of such a force that they laid waste to nearly everything in their path. Hundreds of people lost their lives and many are still missing.”

Ramaphosa is calling for unity during these hard times.
