COVID-19: SA death toll at over 2000

South Africa’s COVID-19 death toll has surpassed 2,000 with 111 new deaths recorded in the latest figures released by the Health Department.

The total number of deaths is now at 2,102. Most of the deaths were recorded in the Eastern Cape and Western Cape.

The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in South Africa is 106,108. Over 55,000 people have recovered.
