SA COVID-19: SAHPRA terminates use of Ivermectin

The health products regulator has terminated the use of Ivermectin to treat COVID-19.

Some doctors were allowed to use the anti-parasitic drug to treat the virus.

It followed a court settlement over its use.

SAHPRA says data shows the drug has no clinical efficacy.
