SA communities with water troubles to be prioritised – ministry

The water and sanitation department said its working around the clock to deliver water tankers to densely populated areas including informal settlements.
Sunday 22 March 2020 marks World Water Day and, according to the water ministry, South African communities with a short supply are being prioritized to encourage preventative measures as a way to prevent and contain the spread of the coronavirus.

Department spokesperson Sputnik Ratau says, “The minister will be updating the nation with further information very soon, in terms of what is on the ground and what plans we are putting together to be able to bring services to the people of South Africa.”
