Gauteng: At 14H45 Thursday afternoon Netcare 911 responded to reports of a serious collision on the R24 Rustenburg Road in Orient Hills Rustenburg.
Reports from the scene indicate that two light delivery vehicle were involved in a head-on collision.
Medics assessed the scene and found that two adult males had sustained critical injuries and required Advanced Life Support intervention to stabilize them.
Another two patients had sustained moderate to serious injuries and were treated on the scene before being transported by private ambulance to the hospital.
Due to the nature of both the critically injured patients, the Netcare 7 and Netcare 8 specialized helicopter ambulances were activated to airlift them to specialist facilities for the care they require.
All necessary authorities were on the scene.
