Rumour: Juventus make a big decision on Ronaldo. The 35-year-old has been discussed as a potential target for the 13-time UEFA Champions League winners just two years after his exit from the Santiago Bernabeu.
Ronaldo spent nine years at Real between 2009 and 2018, achieving a remarkable tally of 450 goals in 438 matches across all competitions, and it has been claimed he has left the door open to a return to the Spanish giants.
According to Italian publication Calciomercato, the Portuguese forward will stay at the Serie A champions, who reportedly have no doubts they will keep him. Amid the coronavirus outbreak and considering the economic impact it could have on the Bianconeri, Juve were believed to be weighing up selling the ex-Los Blancos talisman, who is the Italian club’s highest earner on €31 million (R632 million) a season.
Despite his massive wages, the Old Lady are now said to be happy to continue their relationship with Ronaldo, and do not need to sell him to avoid a financial crisis.
