Rubber bullets fired as Bekkersdal protests intensify

Disgruntled Bekkersdal residents intensified their service delivery protests on Wednesday.

Police also confirmed the use of rubber bullets to disperse crowds.

Residents have been blocking roads demanding electricity.

Some residents say they’ve had lengthy discussions with authorities.

But they still don’t have access to power.
