It was his first time going to Zimbabwe and he clearly had a good time from the first time his flight touched down. The American rapper, Rick Ross was welcomed to Zimbabwe with cheers and expensive cars. He even got his own personal Zimbabwean scarf that we always see President Mnangagwa wearing. Ross got himself a special welcome from the traditional dance group and we saw him having a blast with the curvy dancing women…
Among those who welcomed him was one of Zimbabwe’s richest men Sir Wicknell and he brought all his expensive toys (cars) to welcome the boss to Zimbabwe. Rick Ross real name William Leonard Roberts II — had his maiden performance in Zimbabwe courtesy of global media and entertainment company, ROAR Entertainment.
We are pretty sure this will not be his last performance in Zimbabwe considering the amount of money the rapper got. According to reports coming in from Zimbabwe, Rick Ross got over R3 Million for his performance at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC). According to a Zimbabwean journalist, Nickson Mpofu, Rick Ross was paid USD175 000 which if we are using today’s rate is R3 020 564.75.
The show was clearly a success if we are judging from the videos and the noise the crowd were making when the Boss Rick Ross was performing. Some Zimbabweans had concerns though despite having a blast and were complaining that the show might have turned political… The President’s son was seen on stage with Rick Ross…
