Award-winning actress Florence Masebe has taken to Twitter to share her gratitude over regaining her health last year. Florence spent most of February last year in hospital after a life-threatening asthma attack.
She said recovering was long and hard. The 47-year-old said there was a time when she couldn’t walk for five minutes without reaching for an inhaler.
“There was also a time when I lay in ICU for days because my lungs had had enough of the baggage my soul was carrying. Recovery from that near-fatal asthma attack has been long and hard. I’m truly thankful to be here now,” she tweeted.
She previously shared that after being discharged from hospital, she spent the rest of the year in a constant battle to avoid infection. She also shared she had to walk around wearing a mask to avoid making other people sick.
In another tweet, she said her health had improved. The actress said she now breathed better and could exercise twice a day. Now I can work out twice in one day and still feel great. Importantly, I’m breathing better,” she said.
