Five-year fixed term academic
SUBJECT FIELDS:
Education Management
MAIN TASKS:
1. Lead and conduct research in the identified subject field
2. Develop and manage a research focus area in the faculty
3. Supervision of post-graduate students
4. Contribute towards a vibrant research environment in the faculty

Candidate Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:
A relevant Doctorate level degree (i.e. D Tech / PhD/ NQF 10 or equivalent)
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE & OTHER REQUIREMENTS
At least eight years’ research / teaching / lecturing experience in the relevant subject field, including experience in the management of research projects
An NRF-rating of C2 or a comparable H-index will be required.
Proven record of research outputs in line with CUT’s promotion requirements for Professor
Proven record of external funding applications, awards and management.
Lead/manage at least one research project
Registration with relevant professional body, depending on the field of study
Involvement as an editor/reviewer/external examiner
DESIRED EXPERIENCE
Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar position
