ANC Veterans commit to renew the party

The ANC Veterans League is committing to instilling discipline and helping with the renewal of the governing party.
One of the league’s members, Susan Shabangu says it’s crucial for the ANC, to regain the trust of citizens as general elections draw closer.
Shabangu said, “Task one is to make sure the issue of renewal becomes a priority, discipline and the issue of making sure that ANC members are not going to be bullied.”
“We need to make sure that we instill discipline in the ANC and make sure that renewal and the issue of audits must not be a paper thing, it must happen.”
“People must be audited and make sure they are the kind of people we expect in the ANC…the way to regain the trust of the people, our priority is to make sure the 40 municipalities which are not in good shape, we need to play a role and make sure they have competent skills, they have the right people and they are able to deliver. That’s part of the priorities we committed ourselves as the Veterans League.”
