Introduction

We are looking to recruit a permanent Receptionist to work for United Pharmaceutical Distributors (UPD). The role will be based at the UPD Cape Town in Montague Gardens branch and will report to the Operations Manager.

Job description

Job Purpose:

  • To deliver a professional, effective and efficient customer service to customers.

Key Performance Areas:

  • To receive and answer incoming customer calls promptly and adhere to UPD SOP`s during the process of answering the customers ‘calls and take messages when calls cannot be transferred at the time.
  • To maintain and ensure completion of paperwork, sign-in documents and security procedures and uphold and maintain security access to UPD premises.
  • To answer calls and queries and supply the required information or direct to the relevant departments.
  • To maintain complete professionalism in communication while dealing with clients and customers.
  • To maintain a safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
  • To assist in the contact center with work overflow, faxes, capturing of orders.
  • Handle administrative functions pertaining to reception, arranging couriers and or any other tasks assigned relating to Admin duties based on operational requirements.
  • Sorting and distributing post.

Minimum requirements:

Experience and Education:

Essential: Matric

Essential: Minimum 1 Year relevant customer service experience

Essential: Minimum 1-year switchboard experience
