Reach Truck Driver (Unilever- Jozi Park)
Job Purpose
Maintain the stock levels of the pick, intermediate, a-frame and bulk locations areas by picking and replenishing in accordance with the system generated documents as per operational standards and procedures.
Key areas of responsibility include:
Honesty – pride in his job and an eye for detail
Clear understanding of the client’s requirements
Ensure correct use of vehicle and other company equipment and to timeously report any defects
To report and record any non-conformity with regards to customer merchandise
Maintain high levels of hygiene of the vehicle
Ability to ensure that the pick face and intermediate areas are replenished timeously and according to batch control and SOP’s
To work within operating areas as determined by management and the needs of the business
When carrying out duties – follow standard operating procedures and safe working practices
To assist with the induction of new employees
Perform administrative tasks in line with SOP
Understanding the product range
Ensure that all work areas are kept neat, tidy and obstruction free
Completion of Vehicle check lists and safe driving codes
Delivery on day, within the required time slots
Collection of uplifts, correct POD paperwork
Understanding the documentation used in the replenishment/picking process
Drive within the route agreed
Feedback to CSO of any issues problems at the backdoor
Qualifications:
Grade 12 / Matric – Essential
Reach Truck Drivers License

Skills/Experience:
Good written and communication skills and understand basic arithmetical principles
Understanding of Math’s

Person should be able to enforce health and safety procedures and identify hazards
Person should have a working knowledge of packaging and warehousing methods and application
Person should have a good understanding of quality as a key value
Awareness of importance of security
Operational knowledge and understanding of service delivery
Ability to understand instructions and to accurately carry out instructions – must listen effectively and convey ideas logically
React to customers in a courteous and professional manner
Person should be able to propose different solutions to problems when asked to do so – must be able to act of their own without being urged to do so
Ability to meet time limits as set
5 Years driving experience in an multi drop/ high value
Knowledge of clients’ requirements and customers’ needs
Ability to negotiate under stress
