One dead, multiple injured in Randfontein Road head-on collision

Gauteng: At 12H18 Sunday afternoon, Netcare 911 responded to a collision on Randfontein Road, Sedibeng.

Reports indicate that a bakkie and SUV were involved in a head-on collision.

Medics assessed the scene and found that multiple people, including a 14-month-old baby boy, had sustained moderate to serious injuries.

The child, once stabilized by an emergency care practitioner, was flown by ambulance helicopter to the hospital for further care.

Sadly, an adult female passenger was found to have sustained fatal injuries and was tragically declared deceased on the scene.

The other patients, who were treated on scene, were transported by various ambulance services to the hospital.

All relevant authorities were on the scene.
