The Zandile Gumede saga is dragging on.
The Democratic Alliance in eThekwini is calling on President Cyril Ramaphosa to urgently intervene in the troubled metro.
The party intends to raise a motion to remove Gumede at the next council meeting at the end of this month.
Gumede remains on extended leave after she was charged with fraud and corruption.
Her leave lapsed earlier in July and the ANC in KZN instructed her not to report for duty for now.
