Eskom CEO responds to racism allegations

Eskom CEO Andre de Ruyter has shared his feeling of relief after being cleared of several allegations, including racism and abuse of power.

An independent inquiry found no evidence to conclude De Ruyter is guilty.

In his report, Advocate Ishmail Semenya called the allegations by former Chief Procurement Officer Solly Tshitangano wild and highly irresponsible.

Tshitangano sent copies of his allegations to several senior government officials, including President Cyril Ramaphosa and Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan.
