President Cyril Ramaphosa answers questions on COVID-19

President Cyril Ramaphosa will on Thursday answer questions in the National Assembly. This will be the president’s first appearance in Parliament since the start of lockdown.

The questions scheduled for the virtual sitting will cover a range of matters related to the management of the coronavirus.

The number of COVID-19 cases in South Africa has surged past 80,000. A total of 49 new fatalities were recorded, taking the death toll to 1,672. Gauteng’s new cases continue to grow.

The country’s economic hub added more new cases than the Western Cape in the last 24 hours.
