QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER, AGB NIELSEN MEDIA – JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA

ABOUT THIS JOB

Quality Control Manager will be responsible for maintaining viewing data integrity, quality control activities to ensure high in-tab levels and high data quality, detecting and correcting irregularities not only on the use of the meters installed but also on the push button behavior. It will be to assist the production team, and distribution of weighted audience and rating data as well as to be responsible for viewing analysis and reports to be distributed to customers. Also, contributing to the overall management of the business and its strategic development so as to meet the local needs given by the dynamic environment presented by the broadcasting industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with stakeholders throughout the company to identify business needs that would benefit from improved data.
Effectively communicate the functions, roles, and responsibilities of the department to internal and external clients.
Identify information that would assist teams to improve the quality and accuracy of their forecasting and devise means of making such information available to them.
Carry out regular investigations and data audits and make recommendations to management that will ensure efficient data management process.
Identify and develop functional training needs and resources and deliver training to users ensuring changes to system and data management processes are delivered in an efficient and comprehensive manner
Identify processes for continuous data quality improvement, proactively track numerous system reports on data quality, develop and produce data quality reports, analyze data and report on trends.
Partake in business required User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and quality assurance testing processes.
Act as a key point of contact for liaising and consulting with stakeholders ensuring that data integrity issues are resolved in an efficient manner
Attend training to enhance relevant technical as well as “soft” skills to ensure the ongoing relevance of technical solutions and the ability to influence organizational change.
Daily perform the quality control activities based on exceptions due to technical problems or equipment’s disconnected, invalid channels and uncovered viewing, as well as the not polled and rejected homes.
To inform on a daily basis about the key production indicators
To generate and to distribute on time the weekly and monthly reports requested by BRC
To assess the results of quality checks / coincident studies, to guarantee the truthfulness of data provided.
Analyze daily fault and flag meter data per QC policy and procedure.
Conduct quality control audits per policy and procedure.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information/Data Science, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
Minimum 4 years of work experience performing data analysis and reporting required.
Experience in Market research, preferably on TAM industry
Strong command of Excel required.
Experience documenting processes and data flows preferred.
Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills
Experience analyzing and applying regulatory policy analysis to business operations preferred
In-depth knowledge of Nielsen quality control and panel management platforms and procedures
