Quality Control & Compliance Assistant (Citrus and Stone Fruit)
Job purpose: Overseeing of quality and compliance processes in the company. Auditing and implementing.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Manage and report on quality by analyzing all information derived from growers, packhouse and market arrival feedback
• Oversee packhouse compliance and continual updates of new regulations and reviews
• Communicate with growers and exporters relating to quality issues
• Oversee the quality team with regards to daily operations, testing procedures and communications
• Reporting, administration and analysis of quality-related documentation
• Handle improvements and updates of the compliance system based on changes in operation as well as regulatory changes
• Audit preparation, co-ordination and clearing out non-conformances for certification
• Client Total Quality and Compliance Management
• Conduct internal auditing to ascertain level and compliance • Facilitate risk assessments and meetings
• Compliance-related communication
• Oversee Health and Safety
• Ongoing training and development of staff Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Excellent computer skills
• Must be a team player and be able to work independently and pro-actively
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and numerical abilities are crucial
• Effective handling of detailed information and consistent attention to detail
• Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
