POSITION TITLE: Quality Assurance Controller
REGION: Global

REPORTING TO: Product Development and Quality Assurance Manager
ROLE DESCRIPTION
BOS is looking for a QUALITY ASSURANCE CONTROLLER to join our team.
Your main objective will be to ensure BOS products are produced to our quality standards across our global production facilities
PRIMARY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Quality Management
a. Current product consistency and quality
b. Ensure all global products are continually produced to specs
c. Test often from all sites to ensure consistency with BOS Brand specifications
d. Run regular contract manufacturer audits, coaching and maintain support
e. New Product Development
f. Assist NPD manager with new launches
g. Assist with lab samples
h. Update new product recipes changes and specifications
i. Customer complaint management, investigation and resolution
j. Ensure all customer complaints are handled timeously and with the right degree of urgency
k. Ensure that the business is kept up to date about complaints and they are escalated accordingly
l. Raw material and packaging suppliers managed
m. Update product specification documents
2. Certifications
a. Manage certification of co-packer, warehouses, and suppliers of raw materials and packaging
b. Ensuring up to date certifications of products
c. Update the business on current certifications
d. Compiling all statutory documentation
e. BOS Brands internal compliance audits
f. Assist the Product Development and Quality Assurance Manager manage relevant organic audits certification (ECOCERT EU/SA & SKAL)
3. Stakeholder relations
a. Liaise with internal for sales and NPD project needs
b. Liaise with external stakeholders such as laboratories and institutions to ensure best practice updates are known and communicate
EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED
Food Science degree/ Food technology diploma
2 – 3 years experience in QA management
FSSC22000/BRC/ISO/IFS
Proficient in MS office
Good communication skills, including a good level of English (both written & spoken).
Enthusiastic team member with the interpersonal skills to build and nurture relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
Hard-working, self-motivated, caring, can-do-will-do worker who can work independently
Ready to work in an international environment
Feel and demonstrate a natural affinity with BOS’s brand and products.
