Pupil dies after falling from third floor at school

A pupil has died after falling from the third floor at Ferndale High School in Johannesburg. According to the Gauteng Department of Education, the boy suffered an epileptic seizure.
“The boy got a seizure and unfortunately fell from the third floor. Paramedics tried everything and rushed him to the hospital, unfortunately, he passed on. By that time he was with his family”, Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi said. This is the 11th death since the beginning of the school calendar.
