Public Protector to release report on Mbalula’s Dubai holiday

Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane is expected to release the findings of her investigation into former Sports Minister Fikile Mbalula’s Dubai holiday on Wednesday.
It’s alleged the company Sedgars, funded Mbalula’s R700,000 family holiday.
The former minister, his wife, and three children were in Dubai for at least 5 days in December 2016.
Sedgars denies paying for the trip.
In October, Mkhwebane said all those implicated have been afforded an opportunity to respond to her findings.
Mbalula claimed there was nothing untoward about the vacation.
