Public outrage as GBV victim posts video defending the abuser “it was an honest mistake”

Indeed there is another pandemic the nation is trying to fight at the moment apart from COVID-19. This pandemic that is raging in our country is the beating up and killing of women and children by the men of our country.
But with all the noise the media has made as well as the numerous women slain in recent weeks one victim of gender based violence has angered social media when she came out in part defence of the perpetrator claiming it was not entirely his fault that he ended up beating her.
Surely is love supposed to hurt? Is beating up a woman the only way to show her that you love her? what happened to talking? Is it really sad when you think about it that some times the victims are made to believe that they where wrong and they deserved that beating.
Watch the video below of a woman defending the man who beat her saying it was not his fault, “it was an honest mistake”.

Men and women on twitter were obviously shocked by what she said with some thinking its possible that she is being threatened.
The hardest thing about GBV is having save people who want to die. This war is endless.

How are we going to fight this problem if we still have some women thinking that being beaten is a sign of love, and they still think it was their fault at the end of the day. This is not right. It is a cry for help. Women need to rise up and fight this, it has to end. No man has a right to beat up a woman like that. Our sons need to learn that is not how to treat women. Our daughters need to grow up knowing that love is not violent in any way.
