
Traffic came to a standstill in Benmore, Joburg, on Wednesday morning, 28 July. Its alleged protesters in the area threw rocks at cops as the Joburg Metro cops tried to calm the situation.
It’s reported the protest was due to workers at a residential building that is still under construction allegedly not being paid.
Motorists were advised to exercise caution in the area and possibly use alternative routes.
