POSITION: Project Manager

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Tertiary qualification towards project management or construction studies
At least 5 years’ responsible Contract management experience in managing multiple projects
Proven track record
MS Projects
Reading and understanding of drawings is a must
Excellent Microsoft Office
Supervision
Quality Management
Tracking Budget
JBCC, Fidic or NEC contract knowledge is a must
Proven history of managing projects relating to the façade elements of a building (preferably louvres, glass facades, cladding etc.)
Demonstrable track record in all stages of projects’ life cycle, from contractual frameworks, cost estimation, and site management, to cost management, contract administration and disputes management/resolution
Ability to grasp technical terms and willingness to learn the technicalities of the system, principles, and equipment sold.
Team-oriented with a reputation for honesty and integrity.
An ability to shift easily between projects and priorities and to manage multiple deadlines.
Strongly analytical in relation to mapping and improving the necessary interactions between business functions, customers and suppliers;
Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
Able to implement and facilitate the necessary communication and reporting lines;
Able to establish the necessary leadership, teams and effective delegation of responsibility;

Sound understanding of the project management life cycle including the handling of overlapping activities

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ultimately being responsible for the completion of all projects.
Serves as point of contact for customers.
Verifying specifications for project including all commercial terms.
Detects issues related to project management, proposals and recommends solutions.
Providing instructions and ensure completion for the placing of all orders and all general management of entire material list from start to finish.
Provides regular reports to Operational Manager on contract, procurement & other related issued.
Oversee proposal planning and project management of contracts.
Track authorizations and correspondence.
Within his/her team, ensuring the below is carried out.
Prepare Project change notices, monitor Project performance, including the reporting and status of contracts.
Maintain an audit file for each contract which will include original contract, all correspondence, changes/deviations, amendments, clarifications, payment schedules.
Prepare and disseminate information to appropriate employees regarding contract status, facilitate contractor meetings.
Track payments and deadlines.
Ensuring Generating and sending of all monthly contract claims.
Track the progress and quality of work being performed by suppliers and installers.
Monitor and track most drawing office matters with the assistance of the Senior Contract Manager.
Use project scheduling (MS Projects) and cost control tools (Syspro) to monitor projects plans, budgets and expenditures
Perform closing activities as needed.
Analyze and mitigate risk where possible.
Provide contract summaries and ensure contract execution in accordance with company policy
Any other contract-related matter that would add benefit to the company or the relevant contract.
Attend client meetings and assist with contract requirements
Drafting and issuance of contract proposals, RFP’s, cash flows and preliminary schedules
Prepare contract organization and site programs
Effectively and accurately communicate relevant contract information to the client and project team
Ensure clients’ needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner
Review field inspection reports from Consultants throughout the lifecycle of the project
