Job Description

Introduction

Our client has been is existence for over 80 years. The supply electric and pneumatic assembly tools serving a wide range of assembly and manufacturing operations, including Aerospace, Automotive, Light and Heavy Vehicles, Off-Road, General Industry in over 170 countries.

Key Responsibilities:

The support and promotion of all compan products, within South Africa and some focus Sub Saharan countries.
Sales and distribution management of the two authorised business Partners.
Assisting the Business Line Manager to further define and implement the local Desoutter strategy.
The full support and management of larger projects, from proposal to handover. This will be managed together with a business Partner.
Identifying new potential customers and working closely with a company business Partner to secure the business.
All general company marketing activities.
Responsible for all local company product launches. This includes the distribution of marketing material, training of authorised distribution and key customers, the planning and execution of product roadshows, as well as doing local price comparisons against competition.
Ensuring that all authorised distributors receive updated product training, based on the needs of their sales teams.
Working closely with the internal office staff, to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
Liaising with the product company in France for product support, technical queries, quality complaints and all other general enquires / feedback.
Conducting company “RightWay” audits at selected key / potential customers
Manage the Project life cycle and implementation process.
Customer / technical support.
“Hands On” with technical issues.
National sales of company products, direct or through partners.
Understand the sales life cycle of each of the customers.
Product training of customers / partners.
Physical Product demonstrations at customers.
Liaising with the product company in France for product support, technical queries, quality complaints and all other general enquires / feedback.
Conduct company “Right Way” audits at selected key / potential customers.
Work closely with Authorized company service centers.
Assisting Logistics where and when required
Support of other business lines when needed
Time management and self-motivation is essential.
Co-ordinate marketing activities such as road shows at various customer OEM’s.
Engage with customers at all levels, technician to plant manager.
Minimum experience & qualifications required
Experience working with electronic fastening tools or similar products.
Experience working in the MVI segment will be an advantage.
Computer literacy. Any 3D/CAD experience would be an advantage.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work with customers and colleagues.
Ability to work in a team and under pressure.
Well organized.
Ability to read parts list and drawings.
Initiative and self-motivation.
Challenged by varied work demands / routines.
MS Office competent.
Strong customer and quality focus with ability to keep commitments seek feedback and continuously drive customer satisfaction.
A 3 years tertiary qualification in engineering(or similar), with a minimum of 5 years sales or marketing experience.
Marketing and sales management skills with knowledge and experience of the General and Motor Vehicle Industry.
Good communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate key distributors.
Excellent product and application knowledge of sophisticated tightening techniques.
Good analytical and technical skills
Excellent command of English
Software skills e.g. MS Office soft wares
Driving license and willingness to travel regularly within South Africa.
