Prince Kaybee showers legendary musician DJ Cleo with praise

MUSIC producer and DJ Prince Kaybee recently shone a light on legendary musician, DJ Cleo.

The Fetch Your Life hitmaker, who was candid last year on why he never completed his matric, has applauded the veteran DJ for leading by example and going back to school.

“Met DJ Cleo yesterday backstage while shooting Idols SA. We had a lot to talk about, but what stood out for me is him going back to school. Took a picture with his student card because I want to show off. What a legend,” he wrote.

DJ Cleo, whose real name is Tlou Cleopas Monyepao, last year revealed that he has gone back to school after 20 years.

“Today I embark on a journey that I’ve ignored for almost 20yrs. I’m nervous & excited. It’s going take a lot of dedication, hard work, sweat & tears. I hope I can inspire many people out there. I’m ready. See y’all in 2023 on graduation day,” he shared.

DJ Cleo, who has joined the long list of musicians who have been bitten by the yanos bug, is currently studying a BA in media studies at Wits University in Braamfontein, Joburg.

Explaining why he has no matric, Prince Kaybee revealed that he was expelled from school.

“I got expelled. I took my teacher’s car and did a 360 spin at the fields to look cool. She always let me drive her car but that day peer pressure got the better of me and here I am today without matric,” he said.
