Cape Town mayor asks Eskom to revise price hike

The City of Cape Town wants to be able to buy electricity from independent power producers.
It says this will help alleviate the pressure on Eskom.
Cape Town mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis says this would also translate into a price decrease for consumers.
Hill-Lewis wants the power utility to revise their proposed 20.5 percent price hike to be more in line with inflation.
